Affiliate Disclaimer

Hi everyone. We try and live our lives with integrity, honesty, and openness and thus want to make sure it’s clear that some of the things we recommend on this blog are what are referred to as “affiliates”.

An affiliate is simply a product someone (like us) recommends. If the reader (that’s you) buys that product through that someone’s (hopefully our) website, the someone in question (again, us) gets a small commission payment in exchange for sending their customer to that product.

The commission comes from the product seller and does not increase the price you pay.  Thus it’s a win-win-win for you, us, and the company selling the item. After all, if we hadn’t mentioned it to you, you might not have bought it

Also to be clear though, not everything we recommend is an affiliate product as we want to only recommend things we believe in and some of those things don’t offer an affiliate program.

Our goal with the blog is to help educate you about the subjects we talk about and help you will always be my top priority. Thus we promise the following:

  • We only recommend products that we use ourselves or that are products we have thoroughly checked out and would use if we needed a product like that
  • We only recommend what we consider to be the best out there, whether we get an affiliate commission or not.
  • If you try something we recommend and aren’t happy with it, please let us know! After all; products change, companies change and times change and what worked for us in 2018 may not be relevant for you in 2021. We guarantee we’ll investigate anytime an item doesn’t work as expected for you so we can reconsider recommending it.

Please note that, unless noted, we have not been given any free products, services or anything else by these companies in exchange for mentioning them on the sites. If we were to get offered that, we would try the product and if we genuinely liked it, then we would consider recommending it.

The only consideration we currently receive is in the form of affiliate commissions.

Generally speaking, we have used most of these things long before we became an affiliate, so we’re not out there trying things just so we can recommend them and then get a check. Occasionally we do recommend things we haven’t personally used IF someone we know and trust has endorsed it.

Specifically, when and where we may link to products on Amazon, they require me to state the following: “We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.”

If you have any questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact me by using the contact page.

Cheers, Jeff
